1. By Train

By Train. Nashik railway station is a major station on the Central Railway network. Many trains connect Nashik to other cities with the Panchvati Express taking just under five hours to travel from Mumbai to Nashik. Buses and auto-rickshaws are available from outside the station to reach the city centre.


2. By Bus

There is a huge network of city buses for moving around Nashik. One can use these buses to commute within the city. Other than this, there are Nashik Darshan buses that are run by the government. These buses are especially run to promote tourism by taking around the tourist spots in and around Nashik. It is advisable to do the bookings for the Nashik Darshan bus in advance to avoid hassle at the end moment.


3. By Flight

The Ozar Airport is the name of the airport at Nashik. It is owned by HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Limited), that use this airstrip for testing and developing aircraft for Indian Armed forces. In the recent times after construction of a new terminal, the airport restarted services for commercial purposes. Alliance Air- Air India operates the two flights in a day connecting Nashik and Mumbai. International travellers and domestic travellers from other Indian cities will have to reach Mumbai and take the flight for Nashik from there. Local cab operators at the airport offer for transport from the airport to city.

1. Cabs

Other than the bus, one can hire an auto rickshaw for travelling short distances within the city. Ola cab service on the mobile application is available in Nashik, one can use that as well.


2. Rental

The best way to explore Nashik is by renting a cab and going to the various tourist attractions. One can cover destinations within the city as well as those on the outskirts. Many private companies offer tour packages for such guided tours. Some of the private companies are Taxi Guide, Savaari, clear car rental and Sai baba travels. 3. Trekking

Within the city there are not many options for trekking but on the outskirts, within a distance of 10- 20 km there are many trekking destinations available. Mumbai road, Trimbakeshwar village have some spots for trekking enthusiasts.


4. Local Train

There are no local trains available in Nashik but many people staying in Nashik work in Mumbai and travel daily between the two cities. The daily commuters travel by road to cover the distance till Kasara which is around 70 minutes away. From Kasara one can board the Mumbai local train. Kasara is the last destination of Mumbai local train.


5. Metro

There are no metro train services in Nashik.
